WayTech
Development Introduces its WayTech ColoRealtm
High-End Color Calibration And Color Matching Solutions
for Monitors at PCExpo 99
New
York, NY June 18, 1999. WayTech Development will
introduce its WayTech ColoRealtm series of
software products to the US market next week at PCExpo
99 in New York. The WayTech ColoReal product line makes
WayTech the first to offer a full spectrum of color
calibration and profiling tools.
WayTech
ColoReal features software-based monitor calibration
utilities that allow users to calibrate monitors for all
viewing conditions. The result is an accurate ICC or
Windows compliant color profile. That insures color
integrity and serves as a basis for accurate color
adjustment.
Color
Adjustment is fast, simple, and accurate with WayTech
ColoReal. All color adjustments are based on accurate
color profiles, and WayTech ColoReals User Interface
provides one-touch presets and user defined options for
color temperature, RGB Gamma, contrast, and brightness
and it offers what you see is what you print
capabilities through preset monitor-printer combinations
or individual color corrections.
The
computer industry is on the brink of a color revolution.
As people use PCs to capture family photos, purchase
merchandise over the internet, create websites, or watch
movies, the need for accurate monitor color and easy color
adjustment will become ever more critical. The WayTech
ColoReal series (ColoReal, ColoReal Plus, and ColoReal
Pro) offers the right level of functionality for just
about any use.
Samuel
Shearer, Product Manager at WayTech, said, Pre-released
in Europe at CEBit 99, our WayTech ColoReal series has
met with strong demand and has attracted several quality
European Distributors. Shearer added, We believe
PCExpo 99 is an ideal forum for us to introduce this
product to the U.S. It brings together thousands of users,
VARs and Developers who are at the forefront of the color
revolution.
Nicholas
Milley, President of Sequel Imaging, expects wide
acceptance for WayTech ColoReal, saying: WayTech's
innovative software and sensor-based monitor calibration
products have taken monitor color to a whole new level of
usability and, thus, is opening the doors to many new and
exciting publishing and e-commerce applications.
WayTech
ColoReal is suitable for Internet commerce, gaming, and
expressing the most pleasing colors on color monitors and
LCD panels. WayTech ColoReal Plus is targeted at graphic artists and Internet shoppers, using a
USB interfaced light sensor to measure monitor luminance
and chromatic values for precise monitor calibration.
WayTech ColoReal Pro is geared toward the pre-press color professional and couples
smart software with a USB interfaced high-performance
color calibrator containing four sensors to measure RGB
gamma and phosphor values directly. These products are
priced at $49, $195, and $495 respectively.
Based
on RAMDAC color manipulations, WayTech ColoReal is Windows®
98 compatible and expected to be Windows® 2000 compatible
upon its release.
